5 Leadership Myths that Shrink Women's Impact

For the woman leading in ministry or faith-based nonprofit wondering why leadership feels harder than it should.

It’s not because you're unqualified; it’s because most leadership advice wasn’t designed for the realities women face.

You’re grateful for the ministry you get to be part of...truly.
But you also know you’re capable of more.

You want to contribute at a deeper level, to speak with clarity, lead with confidence, and help shape the future… not just support it.

And yet, something keeps getting in the way.

You’re carrying a heavy load with a lot of moving parts, yet much of it is unseen. And too often, the authority or resources don’t match the responsibility.

You have strong ideas, but you’ve learned to soften them—because you don’t want to be seen as ‘too much.’”

You have strong insight and ideas but you hesitate to share them because you don’t want to be seen as "pushy" or "difficult."

You’re not looking for the spotlight. You’re looking for alignment: impact that fits your gifts, and a leadership life that doesn’t drain you.

If any of that sounds familiar, this training is for you.

The issue isn’t that you need to “try harder.” It’s that you’ve been handed the wrong leadership playbook.

A Personal Note from the host, Jeannette Cochran

I wish I could go back and hand this masterclass to my younger self. Back when I was leading in children’s ministry, giving everything I had, eager to grow, and quietly sensing God calling me to more.

Over 30 years in ministry leadership (17 as an executive pastor) plus two master’s degrees and years of leading staff, hundreds of volunteers, and big budgets, I’ve learned what it actually takes for a woman to thrive in ministry leadership without losing herself in the process.

Because most leadership development wasn’t built with women’s realities in mind. It’s often shaped by masculine norms, helpful on tactics, but missing the deeper formation that helps women lead with steadiness, clarity, and courage under pressure. Women and men are equal in value and calling… but we’re not the same. So our growth pathway often looks different.

This masterclass will help you name what’s happening and chart a new way forward, inside-out leadership development that strengthens identity, beliefs, and grounded presence so you can lead with confident spiritual authority. If that resonates click here to register now.

I’d love to see you there!
